I lucked upon some free tickets tonight to see this movie as a pre-screener so I went with a friend. I think it comes out Friday and I'd been wanting to see it and let me tell you guys it doesn't disappoint. I would so pay to go see this movie. I won't say much for those of you that plan on going to see it but it is VERY worth watching. I was a big Jumaji fan when I was younger and in my opinion Zathura blows Jumanji out of the water. Definitely a must see movie. I'll try and type up a review when I have time later. But for those of you that have seen previews and are debating seeing it or not trust me when I tell you that you won't be disappointed.

Isn't it just a rip-off of Jumanji, only WITHOUT Robin Williams?  Oh, and they're in space instead of jungle... whoo At least from any and all impressions I got of the movie from the previews. Is it definitely worth seeing?

Well I diffinately wanna see it. Probably gonna go this weekend and take my 5 year old baby cousin.
I think it looks great, can't wait.

The story Zathura was actually written by the same guy that wrote Jumajni so there are a few similarities but while both are great imaginative movies I honestly think Zathura may be the better of them. It's far from a rip off. It was creative and the acting from everyone was phenominal. And yeah it's in space but this movie doesn't pull any punches. There is some serious action and a lot of tense situations. I'm not sure what it's rated but I'd think PG or maybe even PG-13. Warren, I think you'd enjoy it but I could be wrong. Give it a shot anyway. It's definitely well made and well acted. I really enjoyed it and so did my friend that went with me to see it. I heard other people talking leaving the theater and all I was hearing was positive stuff. In my opinion it's worth watching but you can't go in thinking its a rip off or sequel to Jumanji because it's neither. It is a standalone movie and so very worth watching.

It looks okay. I know it's from the author of Jumanji and I guess the book is from the era where that author didn't have anymore ideas. 
MIGHT see it. A few otherr movies above it on my priority list |
