I'm looking into purchasing some of the Sony Vegas texture and backdrop CD's but it may be awhile before I decide on which ones I want or if they're going to be worth the money in the end.

So for now I was wondering if anyone could share with me or tell me where to find a backdrop that would look like falling rain, and also one that looks like ocean waves.I want the backdrop to move and not just be a stationary picture.

I'm working on a video and I think the right backdrop would really enhance the video.

I'm not sure about 'backdrops' per se, but Julia (eloramoon) posted this link in spamville a few days ago:

Artbeats. Previews are apparently free.

The alternative, cheaper method, that might do the trick, depending on what you're trying to do, is to go on Sony Vegas, go to "Media Generators" and select one of the Nose textures.... Try getting one with a lot of squiggly lines, and play with the settings until you make them vertical lines. Change the colors to look like rain...

Then, you know how there is a time line on the effect? Go to the end of the time line and move the X-Y settings so that it appears to be falling lines. Adjust it so it can overlay over your video and it'll give you a moving effect that may look like rain.
