This was so fab Kate!! I particularly loved the effect you had at the beginning and in parts throughout, with the freeze frames, they looked so great and really felt fitting with the music The only thing I would say, is that I had a little trouble hearing the audio at the beginning, I think it might have been clearer if it were just a smidge louder. But I really enjoyed it and definitely think this is one of your best!! Awesome job!

Emma: Thanks for the kind comments! Glad you thought the freeze-frames worked.

Out of curiosity, are you listening on a laptop or a desktop? (I'm not saying you're wrong, just curious which, since I think that's the source of the quibble.) Since I vid on a laptop, my vidding (and vid-watching) experience is slightly different than most, in that my monitor is lower-contrast than some people's and, obviously, the speakers are different--they tend to reduce background noise, and so I expect the sound of the quote comes through better (if tinnier) on my laptop than it does on your desktop, if indeed you're using a desktop.

What a fun vid! Great job with the beat use and the editing was really great. I really enjoyed this. I do agree with emma though, it was a little hard for me to hear the audio in the beginning, but i still really liked watching this! Good luck!

Ahh yeah I'm on a desktop, well, an imac to be precise, so the speakers are built into it rather than being separate, I don't know if that makes a difference either I know what you mean though, it can be difficult to know whether what sounds ok to you will sound the same on whatever anyone else is using. My problem has always been because I listened to it so many times in editing it, I know what it says, so it sounds clearer but I find it hard to listen to it as a first time viewer. It's hard to judge

Aw, really wonderful job! Your beat use and editing were super creative and awesome, I liked the freeze frames, I love using them in my vids, they always turn out really cool looking, and in this vid they looked really cool to those beats in the song!! I loved your overlays/split screens near the end, they looked great! Terrfiic job with Sayid in this video, I really enjoyed this! Good luck in the contest!

Lostwithoutdom: Thanks as well! Good to know it worked!

Kate ^ 2: Thanks for letting me know the freeze-frames worked and for noticing the overlays--I needed some sort of a build towards the end, and thought they'd turn out well, considering I'd only used one (more subtle) overlay previously in the video. It was a pain and a half clipping out moving people, though!

That was an interesting video.I don't see many Sayid vids about him trying to decide between Shannon and Nadia. The song was a perfect fit for Sayid.

Thanks, Macaila! (And sorry for the delay; I've been lurking as of late, particularly with Thanksgiving.)
