haha; that was cool kate! what an awesome song hadn't heard it before ;P great one for Other-ville and all its crazy inhabitants loved all the shocked!richard faces in there I felt some scenes tended to drag on a little bit and with such a beat heavy song; shorter cuts may have been a better option, but its good to see you back vidding again! hope to see more from you in the near future _________________

Richard is great for alternately highly entertaining/bloodchilling reaction shots. I had fun with that part of the song. Thanks for getting the point of the song, too; it's unhinged and weird and almost psychotically circular, and to me that still seems like whatever the hell's going on with the Others. I wasn't sure how well that part of things would go over, but it's good to know that it's clear. Since this one hasn't got a story, the feel of it is crucial.
The one long shot, with the first, '(Yes,) everything decays' was intentional. I think I know the other part where it dragged--with Richard visiting Jr. Locke and seizing away the knife--but I felt it wasn't too jarring. Everything else that's long (ie, the 'All aound goes the wheel' shots) were intentionally so to contrast with the brief 'Maypole' inserts and the drumbeat that comes with the spinny picture about 3/4ths through.
'Everything Decays' is actually the second half of 'The Wheel and the Maypole;' the first is 'Round Goes the Wheel,' but it's entirely different in feeling and slow, so I didn't want to drag it out that much. _________________ I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's. Hey Jemmz, again! (Missed this one last time.) Thanks for the kind words.
The spinning edges of the frames on each 'Maypole' are actually two WMM transitions paired up--a left spin and a right spin. Apparently, they cancel each other out and make only the corners spin. I had originally had lots of frames spinning, but that was unwatchable and possibly seizure-inducing, so when I found out the corners spun this way, I was all, '... aha!' So, it still gives the sense of spinning (which I wanted, considering wheels and maypoles both spin) without having frames going every which way and making it entirely unwatchable.
I'm thinking maybe the Ben/Richard up there gives the illusion of some sort of slash that should not be, haha. Oh well! _________________ I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's. His hair was perfect.
