I'd always heard vague rumours that there might be a fourth cos the third ending wasn't majorly final so it's true?!?!?!?! YAY!!!! How i love Johnny Depp!!! and he is the SHIZ as Captain Jack I really cant stand Keird Knightly but its Pirates; so I'll put up with her

I can't stand Keira Knightley either! Pirates are the only films I will watch with her in them. Sounds cool that they're going to do a fourth I can't wait to see Johnny Depp play Jack Sparrow again!

My guesses for Effron are that he is somewhat related to Will Turner

did anyone catch the secret clip at the end of the credits for 'at worlds end'? some of my friends already knew about it when they went to the cinema and stuck till the credits went. I never knew about it.
Apparently its a clip of Keira and her son waiting for the ship to come in or something?!? I may have been lied to lol.

Yeah I watched that final scene in "At Worlds End", it was pretty sweet

Personally I'm quite sick of these films. I loved the first, and imo I think they could have quite easily left it at one
I just think that they are way too long and way too confusing! I was so lost when I watched the third, I just couldn't keep up

I also read on Wikipedia that Keira Knightley doesn't want to do a fourth.

Spoiler: Future As detailed in The Art of the Pirates of the Caribbean, the proposed story for the fourth film was for Sparrow and Barbossa to meet up in the newly founded New Orleans, before they sail to find the Fountain of Youth together. Johnny Depp signed on to return in September 2008, and Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio began writing under the guidance of producer Jerry Bruckheimer. The film is set for release in 2012. Geoffrey Rush has expressed interest in returning as Barbossa. Gore Verbinski feels that "the big danger is diminishing the brand it would have to be a tale worthy of telling" for him to return. If the director returned, he noted that "I would start fresh and focus on the further adventures of Captain Jack Sparrow." Unlike the previous films, he will not do it without a complete script. Keira Knightley has stated that she does not wish to continue playing her character of Elizabeth Swann as she wants to do different projects.

Yeah, she's rumoured to be in it now, when they said about Zac being in it they said he'd be joining Johnny and Keira.
