Charlie's relationship with Claire can be a part of it, but the vid itself needs to be a character study of Charlie. Basically think of it like if you were ready to submit your vid to LVI and you had to pick a category for it to go into before you submitted it, you want it to be able to fit the Character Study category, not the Shipper one.
The claims list is now being updated. Jaime, do you still want to claim Sawyer or do you want to be removed completely from the list? |

Not AU though, just a look at what they've been through on the island and how Kate sees her off it.

I went ahead and added you in for "Possession" and Claire but please keep in mind that this contest is for character study only and so your Kaire element could possibly get it disqualified since that's an AU ship element and isn't something canon from the show. So I would really suggest adjusting your story to remove that part or picking a different song and/or character for this contest that will be a canon character study only and then doing the "Possession"/Kaire idea just as a "regular" vid. |

ToxicTrashAlarm said it perfectly - Kate's relations with her and Aaron with mostly the off island stuff will only be a small part of it - the bulk will be about Claire. 
So yea, Possession for Claire. Thanks again Ais.
BTW - Kat, u took my first thought when I saw the contest

Wow, this sounds like a fun contest!! I love Sarah McLachlan!!
Okay, this is definitely subject to change (because I haven't had that much time to mull over and find songs & whatnot, I quite literally walked in the door like 10 mins ago!!) but for now, can I claim the song "Black" for a Ben character study (freaking duh!  )?
I also see on that list she did a cover of 'Blackbird' by the Beatles....hmmmm...
Like I said, subject to change (if that's okay?)

I have it! i love it! It's awesome!! I used it in a ConMama trailer  it'd make a really heartfelt Ben vid!
mystic wondering - I know; i thought the same thing. I was randomly listening to it on my ipod and went "Charlie vid!" lol
ok; in answer to Jemmz and Karolina's questions the yesterday:
Karolina; live songs are fine. As long as Sarah sings it; it's complying with the rules. As for can it be sung from another character's POV. A lot of Sarah's songs are told this way, from another POV not the first person. sort of like a narrator. But as long as the video qualifies as a character study and is mainly about Jack; we think it should be alright as long as it's not a Jacket video.
Jemmz and Kate; your question was about the shippier Kate songs? This comp is about Character Studies. Having said that, we decided that if you feel you can pull off a Character Study vid to a shippy Sarah song; go for it. But be aware that if the vid itself is not really a study of one of the characters, then its chances in this contest will go down, even if it's a great vid, simply because it won't be meeting one of the major rules, which is to make a character study
