Ok, I had an iTunes gift card, so I decided to get some new songs. A few of them, I was looking forward to vidding with, but they are 'protected' files! When I open them in Sony Vegas, it's just an empty file. I realyl want to use them, but I can't convert the files, or use them at all! Can anyone help me out? Has anyone ever downloaded off of iTunes and vidded with them?
Jeez. *shakes head* I wanted to do things legally (meaning not illegally downloading mp3's) this once, and this is what I get. _________________

So much for doing it the legal way. Still looking for solutions btw....maybe I'll just invest in Napster or one of those things...
Falls Apart ~ Thousand Foot Krutch (hopefully it's there. I heard my bro listening to this online and had to get it. I want to make a Sawyer vid to it) That's the only one I really need right now.
Thx, Trey! _________________

Will it work to break the copyprotect for vidding purposes if you burn the song off onto a CD, then rip it back onto the computer? I've converted m4a (or whatever iTunes' odd format is ) successfully into mp3 format that way. Haven't tried a copyprotected one, though, so can't say for sure. The copyprotect might "travel" with it... *sigh* Why must they make things so difficult? |

I was thinking of trying that, Ais. Thanks! Yeah, iTunes sucks sometimes. _________________

That program I told you to download, Super, should do it. Otherwise, just go download Limewire. I haven't paid for music since 1998. |

You know what you can do? I've done this: If you have WMM2, go to record narration and change the input source from microphone to stereo or whatever that second option is. Then, you can play the thing off your iTunes and record it on WMM as a narration, render it as a .wma and you win. I've done it and it comes out great. _________________ avatar: Plastic!Winchester Theater by anteka @ LJ; icon by me

Sadly, I don't have WMM2. *sigh* Oh well, I guess I'll just re-download the songs on a diff site. Thanks so much all! _________________
