Thanks again, Kat (and thanks for the beta)! Glad you like it. That's my take on Sayid and Nadia, too, so we're on the same page there.
Eerie lyrics:
I remember your eyes from the twelfth of July,
when the sirens were screaming and the flames lit the sky.
And you held me so tight, thought you'd never let go,
'til the bullets exploded on the pavement below.
And I laid you down next to a burnt-out car,
screamed out for help, but you were gone too far.
Still got that picture of you locked away from the start,
developing inside my fanatic heart.
I went around in a daze for a couple of years,
with the blood in my veins frozen over with tears.
And I did anything that they asked me to do,
'cause all I could see was that picture of you.
And the young ones passing by'd say, "How's about you? Real hard, man."
Deep down inside I was just a castle of sand.
Still had that picture of you locked away from the start,
developing inside my fanatic heart.
Then they took me inside, threw me up against a wall;
they put electric prods on my chest and my balls.
And they told me to sign things that I knew weren't true,
and in the end I did what they told me to do.
Then they locked me up, threw away the key,
left me there with just your memory.
Now I walk through New York like a gray silhouette,
trying hard to remember what I'm supposed to forget:
That look in your eyes on the twelfth of July,
when the sirens were screaming and the flames lit the sky.
Hey, I sleep with other women and I hold them through the night,
'cause all I want to do is just get on with my life.
But that picture of you won't let me make a new start:
It's frozen inside my fanatic heart. _________________ I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's. His hair was perfect.

I've been interested in this vid since you mentioned you were making it and now I've seen it I think you've done a fantastic job! Yay for Sayid vids =) It's true too because his thoughts were always on Nadia in season one especially. Good luck in the contest =) |

Jemmz: Thank you! Glad you liked it. You sound like you've heard of Black 47 before, from that, too. Hurray!
(Random, tangential note: Their lead singer, Larry Kirwan, is an awesome guy: He let me use 'Mo Bhron' and 'Five Points' once for a not-for-profit play that I wrote and directed (with donations going to charity), which was my capstone project for my honors program in college. He didn't charge me a penny for using the songs or royalties, so long as I wasn't charging for myself. Like Dave Carter/Tracy Grammer, if vids with Black 47 get another person listening to them, I'm all for it.) _________________ I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's. This is my new favorite video of yours (until the next one at least)
The song was so perfect and the clips fit together perfectly as well. If this vid doesn't get an award, there is something seriously wrong! |

You're totally a biased party, but thanks for the good wishes!
(I really like the way that it turned out as well.) _________________ I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's. His hair was perfect.

Wow, I thought that was pretty good. I liked the simple editing. The timing was great, the flash transitions...I find it hard to love a vid about characters that aren't my absolute fave tho, if I don't know the song, so that took away from it a little bit, but not too much. I thoguht that you did a very nice job with it. It just didn't hold my attention as much as it would have if it was one of my fave songs or something. But that's not you, that' s me. lol |

Thanks for liking it anyway, Sassy. If I can ask where your concentration ended? If there's a specific spot or pacing problem that lost you, that wouldn't hurt to know, for future reference. _________________ I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's. His hair was perfect.

Jinlovessunxx: Thanks! Glad you liked it. And yes, more Sayid videos are always a good thing. Good luck as well; I'll check out your video when I'm off of work or if the boss leaves so I can do interesting things for once. Ahem.
Trey: Thanks for beta-ing (is that a word? It is now)! Glad you liked it as well, and thanks for the help! Good luck in the contest too, should you enter. _________________ I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's. His hair was perfect.

Nah, there really wasn't. I love Sayid, don't get me wrong, but he's just not my fave character to watch vids for. Mostly, I think it was because of the song. It wasn't a bad choice, I just didn't get into it. The vid itself was well made tho. I did enjoy it, it's just me. _________________

Heh. Thanks. Sorry for the follow-up, but if there was a weak point, I wanted to find out.
If I can find a faster song for Sayid, you might like it - stay tuned! _________________ I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's. His hair was perfect.
