I see this used in a lot of videos, where there is like this flash that highlights a beat in a clip. Can that be done in WMM?

Does "Burn" have that? It's used by taking a clean scene and clipping one section out of it to the time of the beat. Then you just add a brighten effect to that little clip, and there ya go...

i.e.: [[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[ -cut- {bright]-cut- ]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]

What I did with "Burn" was a little more different to that Hobbes!

The sunburst/glow is a plugin for After Effects called bloom. What I did was customise that effect for what I wanted.

You can get a similar effect using a "white out" of a couple of frames. All you need for this is a few frames of a plain white screen cross-faded between the clips you want to glow.
