When looking around the internet, I have found a few FREE movie editing programmes, and thought I would share them with you guys.

I have NOT tested them, so do not know if they any good for this type of video making, or how easy to use they are. I also don't know how trustworthy they are, so download them at your own risk. But I wouldn't worry too much, they seem okay to me.
Basically just don't kill me if they are rubbish, or screw up your computer..

If people could give some feedback after downloading as to whether or not they work that would be nice.

Wax: This one seems the best of the four.
Main Site: http://www.debugmode.com/wax/
Download: http://www.download.com/3000-2194_4-10413350.html

Avid Free DV:
Main Site: http://www.avid.com/freedv/
YOU NEED TO REGISTER TO DOWNLOAD THIS ONE, WHICH INCLUDES GIVING AN ADDRESS.

ZS4 Video Editor:
Main Site: http://www.zs4.net/
Download: http://www.zs4.net/downloads

DDClip Free 2.23
Download: http://www.softlab-nsk.com/ddclipro/free.html

So let me know if they are any good..

Awesome! Thanks Spiral! I added it to the Text Guides sticky: http://lostvideo.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?p=60904
hopefully whoever tries them out can give some feedback and this page can keep getting updated with the best of those free editors.

Ok, ive tried a few of them and heres my feedback...

Wax doesnt seem to work for me...

ZS4 Video Editor doesnt even open when i click the icon... five million times.

And one of them (i think it's one of them here) has a watermark that pretty much ruins the video.

I think that if your gonna get a good movie maker program, you're gonna have to buy one... which sucks.

Thanks for the reasearch though. The programs may work for others, but for me, they didn't really seem to work...

Hmm..that sucks.

Although, to be honest, I wasn't expecting them to work really, with them being free and all. But I thought it was worth a shot posting them here, as a lot of people seem to be getting sick of WMM.

Thanks for trying them out.

My results are the same as ashy_rulz88

I'm thinking of buying Sony Vegas or Adobe, cos WMM is getting on my nerves with the freezing and the 'Program not responding'

^^ Same.

I was trying to buy Adobe off ebay, but my mate said he can get it for me for free... yay.

Anyway, i've heard adobe isn't very good, and i was thinking i might be better off with vegas. If anyones tried both, please let me know which is better!

I've had Adobe before and it was a really good programme.

The only reason I got rid of it, was because it was just so hard to work out everything.

If you can get it for free, I reccomend getting it, because it will cost you a hell of a lot less than getting Vegas. I can imagine once you get used to it, it's easy to use.

i havnt tried any of the links you gave but i might do as im sick of WMM. Its not even loading when i click on it anymore! which is overly annoying!

I have resorted to downloadign a trial of Sony Vegas movie studio platinum 6.0. I have tried using it before and i never got along with it but im slowly getting the hang of it, but now i have run out of ideas for vids and ideas for music and only about 25 days left of my trial! lol
