i've heard that the book actually includes the storyline from Day Watch ... is that true ???

Well, I haven't seen Day Watch yet, but the first book includes the story of Maxim and how Swetlana tries to change Jegor's destiny.

Congrats on winning the bid! The book is great. I'm sure you'll enjoy it because the atmosphere is much better than in the movie!

I've started reading the second book a few days ago. The story's told from Alissa's point of view (she's the "girlfriend" of Sebulon). The author manages to make even her seem quite likeable... at least as far as I've read
